DR. EMILY BRIGHAM
Dr. Brigham completed her undergraduate education at Tufts University and medical school (2009), internal medicine residency (2012), masters in health sciences (2014) , and pulmonary and critical care fellowship (2016) at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Following her fellowship, she was faculty in the Johns Hopkins Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine for five years, and was recruited to join the faculty at the University of British Columbia and the Legacy for Airway Health in 2021. Dr. Brigham's clinical expertise is in the care of patients with asthma and COPD. In addition, she leads a growing research program investigating the combined impact of metabolic and environmental exposures on respiratory health, with the goal of identifying protective interventions that build resiliency.
